Uza. Aminath Zeeniya is a lawyer with over 12 years of professional experience in the legal field. Uza. Zeeniya holds a Master’s Degree in International Maritime Law.

Her interest and passion about public interest law issues led her to be a co-founder and member of the team of Public Interest Law Centre (PILC). Having worked in the field for over a decade, and advising the Government on various legal issues on different fields of law, she is well equipped with skill and experience to guide and assist the enthusiastic and young pro bono team of lawyers and law students at PILC.

In addition to her work at Public Interest Law Centre, she currently holds the position of Deputy Counsel General at the Attorney General’s office of the Maldives where she is the head the Legal Affairs Division of the office since May 2017.
